PAY PER CLICK

What is PPC

PPC, known as pay per click, is a type of advertising price structure where the advertiser pays depending on the number of times the published ad is clicked on. It is a type of search marketing where advertisers pay a set amount every time their ad is clicked by a prospect (otherwise known as a click thru).

Pay-per-click search engines follow a simple strategy.

  1. You choose the keywords that you want your site to have a high ranking with.
  2. You then choose the amount that you are willing to pay each time someone clicks on your listing.
  3. This unique form of search engine advertising means that you can be guaranteed to appear in the top results for the terms you are interested in within a day or less. Given this, paid listings are an option that should be explored by site owners who wish to quickly build visibility. They may also be a long-term advertising option for some.

If your goal is to build visibility on search engines quickly, then Overture and Google AdWords are an essential option to explore. No other route can put you in the top results of many major search engines in such a short period of time.

Like the rest of the search industry, PPC is dominated by players like Overture and Google AdWords.

Each search engine uses its own rules to determine how relevant a page is to a given search query and these rules vary widely from one search engine to another.

Pay Per Click Management involves a variety of tasks :

Keyphrase Research and Planning: Creating a keyword campaign requires planning. Planning is in terms of the keywords and phrases to targets, networks to use, cost per clicks to set, and most importantly the creatives to use for each listing.

CPC Bid Management: CPC auction listings can become a volatile environment. How do you monitor hundreds of keyword bids on multiple networks 24/7, taking instant action to maintain competitive advantage without it becoming a full time job?

ROI Analysis: Cost per click or not, traffic is only an asset if it converts, and with so many clicks from so many sources, at so many different prices, keeping track of which clicks make money and which clicks are an expensive waste of time is essential.

    PPC Pricing
The cost of Pay Per Click Management service depends on how many PPC search engines you use, how many keywords/phrases you are bidding on, and how frequently you wish your rankings to be checked.
